Driver Training

HTC EMPLOYEE TRAINING

  • Only an employee with a valid driver's license and reference exams (verified by Human Resources department - Mrs Hrabcová, each person responsible, validity of these exams is 2 years) can drive company cars.
  • The company currently has 3 company cars available for use on business trips (2x i30, 1x Kona). Both i30's are petrol fuel, need to leave a min 80km range on return. The Kona is an electric vehicle, and it must have at least 70% battery upon return. If the battery level drops below this, inform the gatehouse, which will follow the manual on how to charge the electric vehicle.
  • In every car there is mandatory equipment (first aid kit, triangle, reflective vest, spare - in Kona also repair kit). It is the duty of every employee to check that everything is in the car before setting off.
  • There is also 2x crate for going abroad (contains: 5x yellow vest, 5x orange vest, fire extinguisher). It must always be taken whole and not individually, always return to the porter's lodge upon return. In case of using anything from the mandatory equipment, the employee reports to the GA department (Sližová, Kudela)
  • All cars for the Czech Republic have vignettes. Both i30s also have vignettes for Slovakia. The electric Kona does not have a vignette for SK. In the case of driving to another country, each employee deals with the vignette individually. The payment for the foreign vignette is dealt with in the business trip invoice.

Every employee is also obliged to find out the conditions abroad (eco-signs, extra mandatory equipment). Everything is detailed in the Financial Directive on the Use of Motor Vehicles, which every employee should read in advance.

The employee will also apply for an insurance card from the GA department before travelling abroad. GA does not check, everyone is required to apply for it themselves.

  • Each car has a small TP, insurance (green card) and a fuel card with a pin. Refueling in the Czech Republic is possible at any gas station, but SHELL is preferred due to the discounts provided. Refuelling abroad - it is necessary to find out in advance (GA department or on AXIGON.cz website). After each refuelling it is necessary to record the amount of fuel taken in the logbook. Submit the original receipt plus a copy of the logbook showing the refuelling to the GA department.

In addition, the Kona electric car comes with a KONA ELECTRIC CAR OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS manual, which contains the exact specifications for operating and charging the car. This car also has its own charging card - the procedure is described in the Instruction Manual, but we prefer to charge it at the HTC premises.

  • The registered driver in the car must be the same as the one entered in the logbook. Not the co-driver!
  • Smoking is not allowed in the cars. It is necessary to keep order. Leave the car clean and tidy.
  • Report any damage immediately to the GA department (Sližová, Kudela).
  • Fines are paid by each person (driver registered in the car).
  • Drivers obey the rules of the road, follow applicable ordinances and laws.

Driving procedure:

  • Car Booking: Order the car in the Autoway system - enter time, name, and purpose of the trip.
  • Pickup: Collect the logbook and car key from the guardhouse.
  • Pre-Trip Check: Check the vehicle's condition (tires, car body damages, windows…). Report any damage to GA.
  • In-Car Check: Verify mileage reading against the logbook, check for damage and cleanliness, check the remaining range of fuel.
  • Reporting to GA:Report any issues to GA immediately, otherwise, it falls on the previous driver.
